LAW101 Australian Business Law
Unit Description
This unit introduces business laws relevant to the formation and operation of a legal entity in Australia. Laws covering topics such as legal entities to operate under, contracts and their breaches and remedies, consumer laws and their remedies, companies and the concept of separate legal entity, corporate veil and how it can be lifted, business ethics, business crimes, the risk of negligence and its consequences, are but a few examples of what is to be covered. Australian business law is complex, and this unit is but an introduction to some of the relevant laws required to be complied with in undertaking a business venture in Australia.
