BUS102 Business Statistics
Unit Description
This unit presents basic statistical concepts and methods commonly used to make data-based decisions in business applications. Important topics that will be covered include tabular and graphical data display techniques, descriptive statistics using numerical measures, uncertainty and probability, sampling and sampling distributions, statistical estimations, inference, hypothesis tests and regression analysis in the context of business decision-making. The course does not dwell on the details of computations, rather its focus is on understanding concepts, interpreting data and statistical results for informed business decisions.
