BUS101 Business Communication
Unit Description

This unit aims to introduce the students to the principles and practices of effective communication in the workplace. It is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge of communication in professional contexts. It explains the key theories underpinning communication strategies and encourages students to consider the application of these in contemporary business environments.

Students will examine different communication contexts which occur in the internal and external business environment and develop the skills and knowledge to effectively interpret and deliver messages in a variety of business situations.

Number of timetabled hours per week: 4 hours (2 hours in lecture and 2 hours in tutorial)
